Brazil can violate US IP rights, says WTO

Following a dispute over cotton subsidies, the World Trade Organization has said that Brazil can apply sanctions against the US, including the infringement of intellectual property (IP) rights. Pharmaceutical patents are likely to be among the first casualties.
