The National Institute for health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has updated and expanded its recommendations for the treatment of influenza issued in 2003. It has recommended the prescribing of the antivirals oseltamivir (Roche's Tamiflu) and zanamivir (GlaxoSmithKline's Relenza), but not amantadine (Alliance Pharmaceuticals' Lysovir), to treat influenza in adults and children in certain circumstances.
