Donna Karan's latest fragrance, Donna Karan Gold , is a "feminine and compelling" women's scent inspired by the designer's love of gold, according to Estee Lauder.

"I've always been seduced by the passion and power of gold," Karan said. "I'm drawn to its light, compelled to touch it. I have finally captured gold's warm sensuality in a scent," she added.

Donna Karan Gold will debut in October in Donna Karan Collection stores and in fine department stores nationwide, according to the firm.

Formulated around a heart composed of two "luxe notes" - white Casablanca lily and amber - the fragrance comprises notes of sparkling acacia and a "light dusting of glittering gold pollen."

The juice also contains white clove, which lends softness, jasmine templar, which enriches the scent's potency, golden balsam and East Indian patchouli for a "finishing silken drape," the company noted.

The scent is housed in a warm amber-colored rectangular glass bottle surrounded by a "cool gold hammered metal sleeve," and topped off with an ebony wood cap. The bottle was designed by Karan's longtime jewelry collaborator Robert Lee Morris.

Gold will be available as an eau de parfum in a 1.7 oz. bottle for $75 and 3.4 oz. bottle for $95, as well as a 0.2 oz. portable eau de parfum roller ball that comes in a black suede pouch for $50.

The scent also will retail as an eau de toilette in three sizes - 1 oz. for $45, 1.7 oz. for $65 and 3.4 oz. for $85 - as well as a 0.5 oz. "luxuriously intense" perfume selling for $285.

The fragrance will be accompanied by a body lotion, available in a 5 oz. bottle for $50.
