Executive Summary
The National Institutes of Health's Office of Dietary Supplements will host a Vitamin Methodology Workshop July 7-8 in furtherance of a 2002 congressional mandate for NIH to speed up development of validated analytical methods and reference materials for commonly used botanicals and supplements. ODS conducted a public meeting in 2002 to design a strategy for implementing the congressional mandate, and a stakeholder meeting in September 2007 to provide updates on the program and solicit comments on its future. The upcoming meeting, which will review recommendations issued at the stakeholder meeting, will be at the Marriott Gaithersburg Washington Center Hotel in Gaithersburg, Md.
