Advanced UroScience's injectable bulking agent for stress urinary incontinence, Acyst, will be distributed outside the US by Boston Scientific. Boston will take a percentage of the company as part of the deal. Acyst is a patented pyrolytic carbon micro-bead in a carrier compound. The beads are claimed to be non-migratory, biocompatible, but not resorbable. The compound is used for permanent bulking around the bladder neck. St Paul, Minnesota-based Advanced UroScience has already CE-marked the product.
