Executive Summary

Diagnostic Medical Systems, a Montpellier-based diagnostic company in osteoporosis measurement, plans to raise Fr60 million ($10 million) on the French nouveau marche in May. Its densitometer in development, the Ubis 5000, gives a reading on the whole body based on readings calculated from the heel bone (calcaneus). France does not yet reimburse for osteoporosis diagnostic screening and according to Les Echos the market "is set to explode if France does decide to reimburse"
