A group of European electromedical associations have agreed to collect data on the availability of modern imaging technologies in European countries since they believe a number of countries are in danger of falling behind in the use of up-to-date technologies. The Co-ordinating Committee of Electromedical Industries, COCIR, the European Association of Radiology (EAR) and the European Federation of Medical Physicists (EFOMP) have agreed to compare this information with data on the quality of medical services, including waiting times for scheduled imaging examinations.
