Executive Summary
The UK's Health Technology Board for Scotland (HTBS) is seeking industry representatives to establish an Industry Reference Group. The group will provide the board with "high-level industry perspective on general, rather than technology-specific, issues related to topic selection, the assessment process, submission of evidence and communication". The HTBS, which recently announced its first assessment programme (see Clinica No 948, p 7), will value "a broad experience of clinical research in industry, a clear understanding of the National Health Service and of Scotland's clinical effectiveness environment". The Association of British Health-Care Industries (ABHI) will receive applications until April 27.
