Sectra's breast imaging offerings extend into Greece

Swedish medical imaging and healthcare IT specialist Sectra has expanded its European sales network with the appointment of Athens-based Proton as its product distributor in Greece and Cyprus. The agreement covers all of Sectra's products in its medical systems portfolio, with initial focus on the Linköping-based firm's digital mammography system and its MicroDose mammography and breast imaging PACS systems. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. According to Sectra, the digital mammography market in Greece is rapidly growing in tandem with increased awareness of the benefits of low-dose mammography and of breast screening in general.
