Medtronic launches its Carelink Network with Conexus wireless telemetry system in Europe Aug. 30 after gaining a CE mark earlier in the month. The system, compatible with the firm's Concerto and Virtuoso cardiac rhythm management devices, allows data to be transmitted automatically from the implant to physicians when a change in the patient's condition arises, even if the patient is sleeping.
